Steriltom company history is strictly connected to the history of the Squeri family, which has been producing tomato pulp since 1934 with passion and consideration for the environment. Steriltom has been the first company in the world to introduce the tomato pulp. With more than 2,300,000 tons of fresh tomatoes processed and transformed, Steriltom is the European market leader in the tomato pulp processing industry for the food service and industrial sectors.
100% Italian tomatoes
For the product of their tomato pulp, Steriltom uses 100% Italian tomatoes only, all grown in the North of Italy. Most of the fresh tomatoes come from Emilia Romagna, a beautiful region in the Centre-Northern part of Italy also called “Italian Food Valley” because of its extraordinary culinary traditions appreciated all over the world, and 85% of Steriltom tomatoes are grown within a radius of 25km from the factory, in the heart of Piacenza province. This translates into:

Sustainability
Innovation and sustainability have been for years at the heart of the philosophy at Steriltom, that lives the territory in which it produces and it preserves its environment and people. All Steriltom affiliated farmers have to follow strict integrated production rules promoted by Emilia Romagna region (the most strict disciplinary in Europe), which include:

Sustainability is at the heart of Steriltom production process, too. Their new photovoltaic system covers for more than 30% of the company’s electricity needs for the production process and allows Steriltom to save more than 670 tons of CO2 per year.
