Smoked burrata is a tasty alternative to the classic burrata pugliese: a fresh and stretched-curd cheese, very similar to mozzarella but with a very soft and creamy heart.
Murgella smoked burrata has a more intense flavour compared to the traditional burrata. The natural smoking process gives it a typical smoky flavour, in contrast with its creamy and delicate heart.
Smoked burrata is perfect to be enjoyed as it is, paired with fresh or grilled vegetables or to enrich pasta recipes and pizza.

In 2014 Murgella smoked burrata won a bronze medal at the World Cheese Awards, the only prize in the soft/semi soft cheese category.

Because of the absence of animal rennet, this smoked burrata has been certified as a vegetarian product by the “Associazione Italiana Vegetariana” (The Italian Vegetarian Association).

Ingredients:
Pasteurised cow's milk, UHT cream (min. 35%), whey starter culture, salt, microbial coagulant. Naturally smoked.
